A guy is not interested in buying solar power but the salesman is persuasive
“But I do not have money to pay the upfront costs”
“Not needed, sir. Our rooftop solar power plant can be installed at no cost. You need to only pay for the power you consume”
“But,” says the owner, “I do not have an individual rooftop. It’s a shared apartment rooftop.”
“No worries, sir. Our solution has an intelligent algorithm that can make the power plant work for shared rooftops.”
The person is not sure how to send the salesperson away.
“But you know, the rooftop is currently under repair. It will take at least a month for it to be ready”
“You don’t need a rooftop at all, sir. You can buy solar from a solar power plant installed by us in your local community”.
“But you don’t know about our community. They will take years to decide upon something like a solar power plant.”
“No worries still, sir. You can buy solar power from any power plant anywhere in the country. Our solution enables that.”
The man simply doesn’t know how to avoid purchasing solar power.
Finally, he had figured it out: “But you know what dude, we do not need power at all. My wife and children are going away to her parent’s place for a year, and I will be shifting to a new apartment during this period.”
The salesman seems stumped, but only for a moment.
“In which case, sir,” he says,”can I take your apartment on rent for a year? I will ensure that I buy only solar power during that period in order to get you the carbon credits that you can use later”
